- Presentation: On December 12, 17:00, IWH Conference Room, Manuel Buchholz and Moritz Stieglitz (Deutsche Bundesbank) will present the Financial Stability Review of the Bundesbank 2024. Please register until 10.12.2024 using the following [LINK].
- Guest Lecture: On December 16, 9:00, Dr. Alexander Plum (NZPRI, Auckland University of Technology), who received his PhD from OvGU in 2016, will hold a guest lecture on “Sexual orientation, gender identity and economic outcomes” (in German) as part of the course "Arbeitsmarktökonomik" via Zoom. Faculty members and interested students are welcome to attend the talk, the Zoom link can be obtained from Juliane Hennecke upon request.
- Guest Lecture: On December 20, 13.00, Gebäude 26, Hörsaal H1, Dr. Claudia Schaffranka (Senior Referentin, Sachverständigenrat) will present the annual report by the German Council of Economic Experts during the lecture "Makroökonomik". The talk will be in German. Interested faculty members are cordially invited to attend.

- Chair of Applied Economics: Mohamad Alhussein Saoud and Michael Kvasnicka received teaching award certificates during the graduation ceremony. In the SS2024 faculty teaching evaluation, Mohamad Alhussein Saoud and Michael Kvasnicka were ranked 1st and 3rd, respectively, in the Master's teaching category. Additionally, Mohamad Alhussein Saoud was 3rd in the Bachelor's teaching category. Worth mentioning that Evidence-Based Policy Analysis, the course taught by the Chair of Applied Economics, was ranked 1st in the Master's teaching evaluation for best courses.

- Hennecke, J.: On her invitation, Prof. Todd Morris from School of Economics at the University of Queensland in Australia gave a guest lecture on “The welfare implications of employment protection for old workers” as part of the lecture “Arbeitsmarktökonomik”.
